Default I Finally Broke Down After 2.5 Months & Bought One!

Well I like to jump in my hobbies deep. I added a brand new E-Trac to my arsenal last night. I can't wait to get out there and put some hours on it. I now think I have some nice machines to get some great use out of. Plus I can let my friends use them if they want to go along.

I think I may leave my longtime favorite, Whites, and purchase an Etrac soon

Well I figured I have some low, mid, and high end MD's now so I can learn tons about this hobby with all of them and see how they perform differently. Im sure I have years of time for these and will maybe get my money back in like 30 years...LOL.....

Congrats on the E-trac.

When you have time I'd recommend Goes4ever's website. It has the most useful info on the e-trac on a signle website. Helped me a great deal. Especially the TTF mode.

I just did exactly that. I have been using White's for over 25 years. I still have three. Just got my Etrac two weeks ago and am really impressed so far. I also got the SunRay X-1 probe yesterday and think it will be a great addition.

Default Its different

Its a different machine but you will love it once you learn it. On this machine you need to slow down your pace. Slow and low is the trick. You will be surprised how many targets there are in a small area. If you move to fast you will miss targets. I own whites and minelab. Both are great. The Etrac though ,is a heck of a machine. Grab Andy Sabaish's book, hours on the machine will help tremendously, and stick with the factory settings for a while. Biggest thing I can say is SLOW DOWN.Good luck

Oh dear, you bought a E-Trac. That means you are headed back to all those areas you covered with the other detectors. And get the last of all those missed treasures. Congrats

Congrats. You'll not ever go back to your old machines. It'll be like night and day when you're hunting for those high conductors.

I am, or should say was, the same way. Now it's about all about focusing on the true things that will bring you success. (The sites) To continue to buy more units just makes you a detector collector and will do more harm then good. The more detectors someone owns the less they probably find.

I can see your point. I will learn this one and get out there and kill it. But it is still fun to get out there with the others and see how they compare.....I know, nothing compares to the E-trac in many minds....LOL......thx.
