Default Todays looting at the Jersey Shore

One 1942 quarter, sliver ring, sliver earing and some sort
of body piercing looks like surgical steel.
Just a nice day to be out side.

Looks like you found some newer and older silver. Real Nice!
Do you typically find a lot of silver coinage in your locale? There must be some erosion or sand movement to get to the older finds.

Nice job Al... great finds. Silver is always nice.

Did you find this stuff in the water? Wet sand? Dry sand? Do you remember how deep? Inquiring minds want to know!

Raphis, yes they were moving sand about with a dozer

and I was walking behind him,but that didn't last long because
the diesel fumes had me gaging.

The quarter was behind the dozer, the ring was in the dry.

Earing was in the wet as was the body piercing part.

Nice silver finds. The butterfly is a belly-button thingy missing it's screw-on ball at the bottom. Gives me the shivers just thinking about getting pierced there. Good Luck on future hunts. : )

Congrats on all the silver. Well done. Today was a great day to get out. All I found today was a mere wheat ('44). HH

Dozer explains it, because outside of one expert hunter finding well researched Reales, there ain't nothin' happenin' on Jersey's beaches.

Congrats, well done. It is good to see someone finding something!!!!!!

good job buddy! I haven't been out at all for the past few weeks. Too much drama going on in my life. Things are starting to settle down finally. Still hoping we can meet up with a hunt together. I'll PM you some time.

HH

Nice hunt. I wish we would get some kind of storm through here to move some sand around!

Sultan I think there are a lot of different reasons why the finds are slim.
After I was done yesterday I didn't want to go home because it was so nice out,so I took a ride to another beach and just walked around. I saw about 10 people on this beach with metal detectors. Some looked like rookies like my self, others really looked like they were seasoned hunters. So I think the dry stuff is hit hard.

I am convinced the goodies are out there .I am also convinced your best shot at treasure is in the water.. My best finds from last week were at the mean low negative tides.. So at the end of this month I will try my best to be in the water
at the next mean low tides..My opinion this is when the treasure flirts with us ,it shows up briefly just to tease us then it's out of our reach for awhile. I have learned a lot this past year from reading the post here, also studding the water patterns on beaches I hunt.

With over 100 miles of beach it would take five life times to hit it all.

I am always happy with the little bit I come home with.. For me it's the thril of the hunt.
