Hmmmm?? Not sure if this is the thread you intended to post this in? But since you are here, might as well buy a Compadre give your eyes and arm a break People be warned....if you happen to stumble into this 12 page thread, you might just get hooked not too many people have escaped the "church" without purchasing this fun, cute, light, powerful little machine.

HAD to try it out. Got about 20 min at my local very hunted (by me) park and tot lot. Kids were making me crazy every step so I dumped the sand lot and went to the field.

15 min produced what you see here and there were a lot of signals I did not dig because of time and they were crackly in the foil range, not solid.

I think this little machine will be a clad killer and it does find tiny stuff. I need to get a small screen for my sand scoop.

Pinpointing is easy and practically dead on.

Deepest coin was a dime at about 6 inches. First dirt target was a zincoln of course. Found a pocket spill too. All over ground that I have covered over and over.

Compadre will pay for itself in no time. Gotta clean the coil. I likes my mo-chines purdy!

I could swing it all day. Auvio wireless adapter works without an inline volume control, so no wire to get in the way.

I can tell I'm going to be digging a lot of trash, but it's all good.

Dumped the Duracel that was in it and replaced with a new energizer.

It's been used a little but seems to work just fine.

Check this out, Bob...A review log where I plan on putting all my tips and what I learned about the Compadre, and all other hunters tips, too... just like my F2 thread, (9600 views and counting!).

Haven't had much time to hunt or add to this log...getting ready for a cross country move, but I did manage to put down few things I learned about hunting and figuring out trash in this thing, so far.

Thanks - I'll bookmark that and add stuff when I get smarter.

Looking at the Compadre next to SovZilla it looks like a toy.. but the little toy plays nice!

We both got the big-boy coils too!
I guess that makes us even more proud?

First real hunt out with the Compadre and I came up with:
2 small necklace pendants
2 pocket knives(1 was a Kent, 1 made in China)
1 silver dime
1 bullet
1 smashed marijuana pipe
1 blown up pipe bomb?--(sheesh)
1 mystery thing with words ROMA XVII and Caesars face on it? (Bolo-tie slide?)
1Blue jeans button
1 Disney purse(left on jungle gym)-attempting to return via CL and a flyer I posted.

$1.63 clad

Dug a ton of junk to make sure that I am learning to use this thing correctly..

Love this thing. I have also come to love how easy the detector is to use when you are rescanning the hole on your knees. 1 hand is all you need.

Peace,

Z

Hope to get pics later of the knives and Pendants.

Snapped some pics with my cell of my finds on Wednesday. I made a mistake on the clad count. Instead of $1.63 I actually had $2.45.....

Anyway, a few neat finds!

Report on Monday.

At first I was afraid... I thought I would have to sell all of my belongings and renounce my F2. It turns out that you may keep your belongings as the price is low. In fact, I have seen member's belongings increase after becoming a member. I have seen others in the church who worship the Compadre, yet are allowed to praise other MD's. Because of this leniency, I would like to join. I have my Compadre on order!

That is the beauty of this thing...

As a starter and main detector it is great.
Turn up the disc and shoot for coins and silver...a beast.
Turn it down, a full range of metal for any kind of target hunter.
Let's not forget about the extra sensitivity compared to most...finds many types of jewelry easily that others can miss.
The training you get in no screen hunting is a bonus and something I think everyone should experience.

I mostly think because of the price and the way it works, this is the perfect "specialty" detector that everyone should have in the arsenal...even if that arsenal is only 2.

As far as using a detector that actually does have the ability to pay for itself and quickly, nothing better on the market than this one!

Oh yea...there is also that fun thing.

Congrats!

I grew up in a very fundamental church and knew, all too well, that feeling of "conviction". Why am I getting that "convicted" feeling again???" Yeh, my Brothers, I feel the need to walk doooooowwwwn that aisle and join the Church of the Compadre. For one with two very old Garrett's that still do work, but needing to be re-baptized with the freshness of the faith..blah blah blah blah.. It sounds like something I need to do regardless of what else I end up with.

Joining very soon!

I looked at it. Guy is too lazy to even buy a battery to test it so it may not work. I sent him a message telling him to pop for a cheap 9 volt and test it.
