Default Verizon Home Phone Connect

Just switched our phone service over to Verizon Home Phone Connect http://www.wirefly.com/verizon-wirel...domain=wirefly About $19.99/month and unlimited calling to anywhere in the U.S. Our house phone was costing almost $60.00/month plus extra if calling out of local area. Tried it out tonight by calling a buddy in Iowa that is a metal detecting nut like I am and he sounded fine and he said I sounded fine. Sure will be nice to chat with all my buddies in the hobby from all over the country and not worry about having the bill run up. I was going to try the vonage thing or the magic jack but it takes a real fast internet connection which I don't have. The setup I have doesn't go through the internet/computer. I live out in the middle of nowhere but there is a tower about 2 miles from me as a crow flies, so I am getting good signal. I will be able to Tesoro talk a persons ear off now .

I got my VHPC last week after 5 weeks without Verizon's landline service due to weather conditions. I called their repair service 6 times and they kept putting it off so I canceled their service and went with VHPC . . . LOVE IT! . . . and saves those $$$$!! . . .

:-)
