Iam looking to buy one ! is it sensitive on gold ring because the frequency is only 2.4 khz and normally gold need more sensitivity to be detected ! any input ?

A Fisher 1280x hits a small 1.5g 10k golden ring at 7" - 8" in the air. The Pirate is a very similar machine. Put your discrimination no higher than 2. However I really have no idea how it would react to gold in the water/sand, I have found quite some coins with it but no gold in the water - at that time I had not had a proper sand scoop. That ring was found in the dry sand below a layer of seaweed and some sand.
