Default Evening Hunt DF Gold...

I hooked up with Louct for the evening low tide... I don't know what Lou got as his wife called him a few times and he left but I stayed... 15 minutes into my water hunt I picked up this antique gold ring... a few tiny stones are missing... I have to test the gold because its a old style block hallmark that is worn down and I can't read it with my loupe...

Hey Lou that is why I never carry my phone on my while enjoying the hunt

I also like the old drawer pull the backside is brass.... the 2 huge weights were deep the small weight is 3 ounces...

Not much trash at this spot I hunted about 2 hours...

That ring does look old. When water/wet sand hunting my phone stays in the car. When dry sand/dirt hunting I can't hear it with the headphones on.

Stones are junk... I have found quite a few old rings with junk stones... I have 2-18k gold rings both are junk stones... I even have a higher carat gold ring with a glass imitation citrine... I guess as long as they looked good back in the day anything goes

Craig, I hope you save the real old nice looking rings and not melt them. Take some of those puppies to the antique road show, you may be surprised.

PS. I just learned on the interwebs that ruby and sapphire are the same miineral (corundum),red is ruby, everything else is sapphire. The more you know...
