Default Multiple Choice test of what my wife will do to me if I buy a sixth metal detector

Okay, I have already pushed the limits of the universe by buying five detectors in a relatively short period of time. What are the possible consequences if I buy a sixth one.

A. One month in the dog house

B. A ring at the mall jewelry store

C. A week-long cruise

D. Silence as cold as the coming winter

E. An approving nod with the words "Whatever makes you happy makes me happy."

F. Having to go over to mother-in-laws and beg on my knees for her to come back promising to sleep on the couch for yet-to-be determined amount of time and cooking all of her meals through the end of the year.

most definitely G!

Whenever a woman says "What", she isnt asking for you to repeat because she didnt hear, she is giving you time to reconsider what you said.

Whoever picks "E" is just contributing to his denial.

Default Good grief be a man!

I've been at this 9 months and just bought my 7th machine. Do you see me cowering? Heck no! As long as she does not figure it out, I am safe. Thank the good Lord she dosen't count that well. Between the 2 in the garage, the 2 in the den and the 3 in the car I've gotten away with it.

After nearly 40 years of marriage I think I deserve a little happiness. If she ever starts reading this stuff I'll get what I deserve alright.

Annon.

All of the above...but you will get to keep all the detectors, right?

Then, Worth It!

My wife gives me the silent treatment.. Only she doesn't know that I prefer
that to most other punishments.. Better to ask forgiveness than permission.. Ah, what the heck.. Buy her a broom..

6 detectors, "YOU DA MAN!" take everything the wife dishes out, before you know it things will be back to normal and you'll still have all the detectors....

Geez, dude, why tell her? What she doesn't know can't hurt you ;-) But if you must tell, C wouldn't be that bad - if she didn't make you go on the cruise with her. Hey, send her and her mother on a cruise! Two weeks! That gives you two weeks of blissful MD time without having to answer for where you've been, what you've been doing, who was with you and how much did THIS machine cost. (My wife isn't that interested in MDing and thinks these machines I have aren't much more expensive than the ones she sees at WalMart - and I have not bothered to disabuse her of that opinion. She also knows that, whatever they cost, it is less than a good bass boat like the other guys around here have.)

Why do you think she would notice one more. Just like a gun collection, golf clubs, or a woman's shoes.... "THAT? I've had that for a long time. I guess you just don't pay attention to me". That last line turns it around on them, LOL.
