Default Home Sweet Home Before.....

I just ran out to take a few pics of the house before the storm, hopefully it looks like this tomorrow.I hope everyone south of here is doing ok and everyone north of here does ok.I am on the south shore of Long Island, about 40 miles from NYC and about a 1/4 mile from the water.Right about where they say the storm is going to hit. No worries of flooding but the wind can get pretty bad here,I lost two trees last year in a storm so at least I dont have to worry about them anymore.Hopefully it's not too bad and all of us are safe and on the beach the day after the storm. Good Luck East Coasters!

Default It is now.

And it's about 2 feet higher than when the pic was taken. Should start to subside soon, unless Irene's west side north winds shove all that backed up bay water down our throat. I'm dry so far, but my neighbor is wet to his window sills.

So how did you make out? Everything is fine here just alot of leaves and sticks to clean up and a few small branches.I only lost one roof shingle.I can live with that.

Default Subsided as fast as it rose!

Water came within 20 feet of our foundation. NO damage.
