Default I was approached at an Elementary School today

While metal detecting today at a local elementary, some 14 year old boy walks up with his cap backwards and says, Hello Sir. I would like to make you a deal. Everything you find, you split with me. I looked back and said, "And why would I do that" with a slight menacing look. "Fair point" he says and walked away. *** LOL

This sounds so absurd, I was waiting for the punch line. Very weird...

Kids are funny,a trick here is to wait for you to park and they come up and say that for a dollar they will protect your car, I always tell them that if anything happens to the car they will never see me coming and for 3 1/2 years my car is safe lol

Was he with friends. Sounds like something friends would dare one member of a group to do. Oh go say this to him and see what reaction you get.

When I lived in in Texas, the kids used to pull that on me when I went to the border towns!!! Back then it was 25 cents. If you said no, they would just shake their head and say "Easy flat, pssssshhh!!!"

Had a kid try that on me some time ago. I had some time to spend and decided to have a bit of fun.

I told him that would be fine but the deal was I find the stuff and he digs it. A few button pushes and the V3i was in "Find Pull Tab Mode" . We started in the tot lot. After about 45 minutes the little heathen decided that the extortion game just wasn't that profitable.

I had so much fun I can hardly wait for the next one.

Regards,

I have idiots like that on a regular basis in Burbank.

Always wanting me to give them something.

When they ask me what I found I always answer "YOUR LUNCH MONEY!"

That is too funny. I have never had that problem but then I have yet to have anyone ever bother me.

Sounds like a pretentious little __________ (you fill in the appropriate word). Should have given him the evil eye and not said a word. Make him think you are deranged or something. Works every time.
