Default x terra 705

Just wondering what people's biggest issues with the minelab xterra 705 are?
Anything that makes you unhappy with the machine? Any regrets in purchasing one?

I'm looking into purchasing a new one, it will be an upgrade from my current xlt spectrum. I enjoy relic and coin hunting mostly but have access to some land that is known to hold some gold, therefore I want a machine that is gold capable as well as relic and coin capable.

Thanks for any info guys.

I love mine. No regrets at all.

Coils are a bit pricey, but each one that you get is like getting a whole different detector. So when you look at it that way, it's not so bad. I've got coils in all three frequencies, and a NEL on the way.

The only real dis-advantage of the XT-705 is that over time you are probably going to want to buy a couple of more coils for it, pushing its price up to around the $1,000 range. For that price you can get a FBS Safari with a 11" Pro coil which for me has proven to be better on coins and silver than the 705.

The 705 with the 18.75 kHz coil is a killer on gold nuggets and will do a decent job on most coins but you might lose a little on the larger silver (which I don't find that many of anyway).

No regrets. I have the standard coil and have used it for about a year now. Its a great machine.

It's a great machine, really like mine. you'll notice when you are swinging if you even hear a piece of a good sound go back and narrow down until you nail the target, seems like it has alot more range than just under the coil sometimes....
