Default I need a OLD High School

I go up to the local high school again and this time I work an area of 150' x 100' give or take a few feet. Out of the ground comes two wheat pennies from the 40's and about $ 8.95 counting the Canadian money. I am like, "Why can't this school be from the early 1900's!!!!!" Look at all the dimes I dug up. I think it came out to 47 US dimes and one Canadian. Plus, that large square weight which I have no clue of what it's made of but its heavy. This was about 4 hours of digging and I am going to hit it again later on when I have the urge to get more clad.

By the way, what do you guys do with the Canadian money?

Very nice clad count. As for the Canadian coins, if you don't have too many, just mix them with your regular coins when you roll them. The coin machines won't take them so you will have to roll some. : )

Still rocking that F2...Way to go!

What do you do with Canadian coins?
Up in Michigan, stupid people used to put them in vending machines and jam them up all the time.
Just buy something with it and pass it on...it actually is real money.

I guess it does come out to over 100 digs, No spills today! All I know is that when I sweep with the F2 and it hits a 70-71 on the VDI I know its a dime and then its hopefully silver time but not at this school. That was the most clad I ever got in one day.

Where at the high school did you hit? Parking lot? Front entrance? Ball field? That's a great job in a nice compact area!

Hi Peele,

I did the front part of the bldg and along a hill off the wing in front of the windows. This place has never been hit before so it had lots of goodies. I always look at the school and what do kids do? They don't always use sidewalks or stairs. They try for a straight line to the bus or car. Secondly, check to see if the school has a few cafeterias. This one had doors that went to the outside onto the grass and I found a lot of clad there. Every school has cash in the ground especially if its never been recently hit by a metal detector. I like Sat nights and Sundays for hunting schools. Once school starts, forget about hunting the area unless its a Sunday.

Thanks for the tips. Hard to think like a kid when your back makes you feel like an old man.

one thing I've noticed about the F2 is that 99 times out of 100, when it says a quarter.........it is a quarter. 80-83 on the VDI and I fully expect to pull a quarter!
