Default Is this worth anything to anyone?

Was just at my fathers house and mentioned how I was going to the beach. Asks oh taking your detector. I tell him how I just sold it recently and am picking up another one later today. Well he tells me he has an old one in the basement. Likely something he picked from the transfer station. He finds all kinds of goodies that people toss. Found a big flat screen tv, only needed a wire or a bulb or something fixed.

But I took down this info off it, wasn't taking it home as no need to have it laying around here unless I know I can get rid of it to someone.

But it is a Sears Model(says Whites on display, they built it I'd imagine for Sears?)

Heres whats on the box.

Sears MD Depth G.E.B. / TR DISC II
Model 321.596.290

So my question, is this worth anything to anyone or is it junk.

It has a few knobs on it and is the style where it has the needle display.

If anyone know anything I appreciate your answers. Thanks!

my buddy has a tersoro that has the needle that bounces around.

they are cool but I don't think they are worth anything. maybe 10-20 $ to a collector.

a person can buy a brand new ace 150 somewhere in the 100-200 range. I can't imagine someone paying more then 20 $ for a 30/40 year old detector.

Yep thats the one. Maybe I'll fiddle with it, but most likely not. Thing takes 14 AA batteries in a battery pack type thing. Which I did not notice inside the box. All I saw was the connectors like on a 9volt. That probably goes to the box that you load all the batteries in.

Yeah but not to me. I'd probably sell it if he lets me. Not worth anything to me, I won't try to use it purely on the batteries issue. Can I hook a car battery to it lol.

They don't bring much on EBay, I would like to have a couple for display but with shipping they just aren't worth it to me.

I love hunting with old detectors. My Tek is over thirty years old and this past week I found besides a lot of clad, a 1903 Indian Head, a 1915 Wheat, and a couple more Wheats out of the 40's. It's not as easy as with a modern machine but can be done. It's more of a challange.

If it is a Tesoro Toltec that your buddy has, tell him that I will give him $25.00 for it & I won't even blink an eye paying that much .
