Default Hit For The Cycle On Surface Finds!

Decided to do some dry sand hunting this morning since my last 2 hunts were water hunts and the low tide really wasn't jiving. It was a little bit windy and the wind was coming off the ocean. I have noticed that many times at this beach the wind will whisk away sand and leave coins exposed. I found 6 coins like that today; 2 quarters, 2 nickels, a dime and a penny! You gotta love the easy pickings! Hunted for about 3 hours with a decent amount of clad and a broken off piece of what appears to be a silver item. I found a dime that I thought was a foreign coin when I first got it since it was smaller and lighter. At home is when I noticed it was just a regular dime. In my years of hunting I have never seen that happen to a dime. My summer off time is running out guys!

Glad to see you are enjoying your vacation. Looks like those coins have been there awhile. Never have seen a new dime eaten up like that one. Hope you can get some gold before having to come back home. Good luck.

I found a dime like that once, the top and bottom was intact, but the inside
had deteriorated and it made it lighter. I found a Canadian coin like that too
and it was so deteriorated inside, that I could bend the coin over itself.

what junk!

Nice haul, gotta love it when the wind helps you instead of just being annoying...
