...WAY WRONG!! well at least for demonstration purposes.
![]() ![]() thus the removal of pictures that may cause damage or injury to anyone. Thanks Ozarks for the warning! I did have the right wires, in the right places, but the color of the alligator clips were wrong.

Nice work. I find those all the time. Probably from a horse tack or bit etc...

I like your use of the handle hole. Nice job on the system, looks like it works good.

Doesn't the red clip go on the steel and not the item itself? Isn't the red post supposed to stay out of the water solution?
This post might be how not to do it lol No offense, but every other post I've seen has showed the red clip on the steel you insert and not the item itself, and says to keep the positive out of the solution. See VLADs tutorial on it where he explains what I said above... http://gometaldetecting.com/electrolysis_cleaning.htm __________________ |

Yeah I removed most of them. I reversed the positive and negative
![]() It was just an old rusty metal ring, maybe a bridle bit ring. __________________ |

Ohhhhhhhh gotcha. You sure you didn't just accidentally mark the (-) with the red? From the water it looks like you were taking rust off, which I don't think is supposed to happen if it's backwards...

Yeah I though about that, I gotta check my set up. I did burn up the first charger, and had to make a new one, so it is possible I did just mix up the colors. I have been pretty busy as of late so I should check it.

And as a matter of fact, just looking at the picture, you can see the white striped positive in the right place, and the negative wire in the right place. I must have brain farted the colors after I burned the first charger up.
At any rate the pictures could be confusing and may mislead someone, so I took em down. __________________ |
