Default Fisher 1280x

Any fisher 1280x users out there? I was wondering if anyone could give me any setting on how they run their machines

Hello, I just got one, but I will not have a chance to test it on the beach before next week. From my internet research, put the discrimination on 2-3 maximum, sensitivity and volume as high as you can tolerate. That will be my starting point

Sofar I have been twice in the water with the 1280x. I could find a few coins and gun cartridges. I yet have to get a proper scoop, it is not so easy to pull out a coin in the waves. I found out that discrimination at 2 is sufficient - it misses small iron, spits on nails. Very large iron items go through but usually really loud. On the beach where I was I could use sensitivity up to 7 without falsing and my favourite mark at the volume knob is 3.

The machine is a bit heavy for land hunting, but in the water it is floating a little, so there is actually no need for belt mounting in the water.
