North Dakota help

I'm heading to North Dakota is a week or two, I'll be around Grandforks and Fargo and I have a few questions!

1. In Manitoba we just happen to be the only province in Canada that doesn't have MD deallers (or I haven't found any). So in Grandforks or Fargo do they have MD stores or just stores that would sell accesories? (If you could tell me names and city/town that would be great!)

2. U.S.A. has obviously had more/bigger history then Canada, so are there any areas in ND I can detect thats had a long history or any home sites from early 1900's or in the 1800's that other people have had good luck at?

3. I've heard some places in the states you need a MDing permit is that true? Do you need one for ND? And are there any very important laws about MDing there?

4. Probably the most important is it legal to bring a detector across the Canada-U.S.A. Border?
