Default Please help identify!!!!

This is a small copper/bronze clasp that I found detecting and it says super plate on the back side. It looks like a shield insigna on the face but I cannot really associate it with any military branch. It has a hole on one end so maybe it was wore on a shoulder with a button. I also found a 1935 chaueffurs badge about 6 foot away from this so it may be off a uniform. Any help or ideas is appreciated.Name: IMG00194-20110419-2122.jpg

First of all. In what type of area did you find it? A park , industrial area, old homestead? Plus there is something on the back in the way of manufacturer or company name. What does that read?

I found it in my backyard. It is in the center of a small city and the home was built in the 50's. Also the back has super plate stamped on it.

Thanks

Thumbs up That thing

Is an art deco style. Whatever. I really don't know, but the style dates to the 1930s I too found a Chauffers badge dated 1930. Good hunt. Whatever it is, it sure is cool looking. Regards, Mike

At first glance appears to be a slider that was on a chain of some sort. Would slide on to ones belt around the waist. Maybe attached to watch, wallet, keys (chauffers), etc

Money clip maybe?

If not, it looks like it could be used as one

I would say it is for a pocket watch.
It would slid on the belt with a chain attached where the holes are and the other end cliped to the watch.
Nice find...
