Default Opportunity????

OK... A big storm just blew through here. Unfortunately it tore up my siding and is going to cost me a thousand in insurance deductable cost.

We were driving around looking at damage in town and it made me wonder if there is an opportunity to detect where the giant, old trees have been uprooted. Has anyone ever tried detecting those areas? Had any luck?

This is some of the damage to my house

Anyone ever detected these opportunities?

There are probably a hundred trees like this in town following the storm.

Maybe I can find something to offset my deductable!

We had some strong storms this past Spring that uprooted some trees in a late 1800's park. I did not find anything in the uprooted areas but then I may not have been the first one to hunt them.

Hmmm... Well, I suppose it can't hurt to try. Maybe I'll get up early and see what happens.

Only thing you will lose is time. If you have thought about it and not done it you may haunt yourself for not trying.

A friend of mine lost a large old oak a couple of years ago. While out looking over the damage he noticed something in the dirt of the uprooted tree. It was a platinum ring worth better than $2000 dollars. So yes, get your detector out and start searching.

I always run into fallen trees in the woods near my cellar holes. I always try the roots and dirt below. Haven't found anything yet. But I'll keep trying.
