Default What accessories should I get for my compadre- Need coil scuff cover and......

Well, I wish I ordered the detector with the scuff cover, but didn't. So, I will need to place an order for the cover and the shipping will be more than the cover. So, what else should I order at the same time so that I can just have what I need and be done. I have a pin pointer and a digging tool.
I kind of like the idea of the rain cover. Anything else suggested? Thanks.

Depends on how much you want to carry. You have the basics for MDing. In some places you could add a GPS, first aid kit, bug spray, sunscreen, gloves, an apron for your finds/trash, etc.
It really depends on where you will be....

Dusty, the rain cover is the kind of stuff I was curious about. I saw that tesoro makes rain covers for the MD for about $17. That sounds worth it for something that will fit properly. I was thinking of a scuff cover and rain cover. Would the machine benefit from any other accessories? Thanks.

First and foremost, get the scuff cover. Then the next thing you should get is GOOD headphones. I strongly suggest Killer B's. It will wake up your machine and you'll hear things you didn't hear before. Trust me.

Yep, I have rain covers that I never use! A waste of money if you ask me, because they get in your way. I don't do any detecting in the rain, but if I do get caught in a down pour I carry a plastic bag to cover the detector until I can get back to the car.

Headlamp. Now that has got me to thinking about doing some late evening detecting so I can avoid all this smothering HEAT.

Thanks

I use a led one, it weights almost nothing. for the way I detect I have to really have it, sometimes I can't stop and get caught in the evening

I bought the scuff cover and rain cover. I don't find the rain cover a problem and with kids, I think it is a good idea.

I just wore out my first scuff cover on my Compadre after 9 months. They're a lot cheaper than a new coil!!!

Headphones, rain and dust cover, digging tool, pin pointer, old hand towel for dirt while digging, a treasure pouch, and maybe a water bottle holder if you're going to be in the field a long time.

That should do it.
