Default Civil War bullet?

Found this over the weekend, I consider it my best find! Im thinking its a .58cal, there is a civil war trail from the Valley Campaign not a mile from where I found this with the AT PRO.

Does anyone have any other info on it, I would appreciate it!

That's a very nice bullet. I've found a nice handful of CW bullets. They're my second favorite thing next to silver coins to find.

Definitely a Civil War 3 ringer "drop". Usually there are plenty more where that one came from. Hope you get some more.

Congrats on the 3 ringer... Hopefully you'll find some more in the same area... and hopefully some brass too.
