Default Best Small Coil for ETRAC?

What is the best small coil for the ETRAC.

Some of the parks I hunt are very heavy in trash. The smaller coil may help.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Default Small Coil For E-Trac

Hi HH,

Wanda here from Kellyco. The best small coil for the E-Trac and also we have availabiltiy for other detectors as well is the 8x6 SEF butterfly coil. It is very stable, easy to pinpoint with and separates well as will still get the depth. Please give me a call on 800-327-9697 x134 and I will be happy to chat and help you with it. I am here until 9pm EST the rest of the week this week. Actually 1-9pm EST through Friday.

Thanks and as always,
Diggin It!

I put an 8X6 SEF on my DFX for the came reason - spend too much time in high trash areas. Put it on 2 weeks ago, and haven't taken it off since. Extremely stable, great separation, good depth (7" so far), and VDI readings for coins that match the stock 9.5 coil.

I would expect the same for your E-Trac.

One of the best coils for the Etrac is the 8" OEM from Minelab or the Sunray X-5 for heavily trashed areas.

Hope this helps.

what about upgrading to the 10x12 butterfly? Just wondering if the smaller coil makes a huge difference. And the butterfly effect (ha) works that much better then the stock?

I was, too. Basically, I'm cheap & don't like to spend on extravagances. But, that 8X6 SEF coil is the best $125(on sale) I've put in my system.

I've been enjoying my 6" excellerator coil. Found lots of silver coins with it. Only gets around 5 inches of depth in my soil but the majority of silver coins tend to be within that range anyways.

I've heard awesome things about the 8 inch sunray though. If I had the money I'd get one of those.
