I don't know about your straight shaft, but there's an alien of some sort
on your staircase.

Nah, that's cool. I can't believe all the things you've made recently.

That sifter is really cool. I wish I had one of those, just can't carry
anymore stuff with me to the beach.

Default Thats nice Jb

Like the shiney look, and thats a florida shaft type, better balanced then the regular side by side SS. Very Nice Job....... Couple things, I've got a few pic's some where, and not sure why minelabs never did this but a cuff on the armrest would help with coil control. And I'm not sure but most bike handles have that off set angle to them. If you take a small propane tourch to the base of it,... it will twist, they use a plastic glue that is used with the hot glue guns, so not to much heat. I have even pulled one off and installed a strait handle on it, used epoxy to put it back on.....Very nice job again, saved some big money, added a personal touch to it, and makes those long days short.

Not bad Jb,but it will be a shark attractor over knee deep to shiney ,and i hope you can adjust the lenth of the shaft, the plugger rods come black powder coated and adjust with set holes and locking collers, but if you built that shaft for 29.00 you have done well Earl

Exclamation Painted black

That's better JB,i hope the paint stays on better than the Truck bed liner on one of my scoops, ill never do that again, chips off, gets on your hands, the Plugger Rods come powder coated black, and the black never comes off, just keep that in mind if the paint starts chiping off, then send it out for a powder coat,29.00 will grow,Happy Hunting hope things work out for you Earl

Hey, where did you pick up your aluminum pipe at? Did you use a drill press or just a hand held?

Any wish I would have done so and so differently before I go out and make this?

Thanks,
Kidd

I went to a local place called BOW ( Boat Owners Warehouse ) The smalles aluminum pipe they had was a 6 foot which is way more than you need. I think it was like $20, Then bought the Handle bars from Walmart for $6 for the pair, used the grip from my excal. I just used a hand held drill. My holes could have been a littler neater but hey it works. Get some nut & bolts, ( make sure they wont rust ) or get V-clips... You will also have to get a Shaft lock ( which I haven't got yet ) I just used Electrical tape to help hold it together for now until I get the shaft lock. Its Really easy once you know what your doing! Good Luck!
