Default Found ring with initials, WHAT NOW?

Hello all. I found a ring with initials on inside. Looks like this for example: "R.B.C"

How do I go about finding a person with these initials? Is it possible? I don't have access to a phonebook for that town to look for potential initials so I was wondering if any of you had any ideas. It's a wedding band.

Thanks.

After doing a little research I believe it's the jeweler's mark. Rats! I'll post a picture, let me know what you think.

Heck, keep it and don't lose any sleep over it. It's not a super expensive ring. Someone could have tossed it in frustration/anger....

That's a tough one, way too many people that it could belong to. Keep it!

Keep it or donate it to me. Sometimes its more work trying to find an owner than it is worth and with common initials, you'd be pulling your hair out with all the possible matches you would come up with.

Nice find!

If you really want to try to find the owner...post an ad in craigslist stating that you found a gold wedding band with initials. See if anyone can identify it. Watch out for scammers on there though!

Good one Diggler.

I'll end up using it as my wedding band when that time comes. It fits me perfectly and it'll save me some money. No point in going and buying one when this one works well.

Thanks for the responses everyone.
