I subscribe to Lost Treasure magazine which covers metal detecting, prospecting, and other related facets of treasure hunting. It's a fairly decent publication. They have a website:

www.losttreasure.com

You can subscribe to their magazine there plus there's a lot of other valuable info on the site.

If you're interested in treasure stories, you might want to consider bidding on back issues of treasure hunting magazines on Ebay. I don't mind if the magazines are 10 or 20 years old. They make great reading during these long winter nights!

Carol ... I was puting that same list together, but you beat me to it!

Profit ... all the magazines in the world are a great resource, but I have to say there is no better resource than conversing with those live in the field on a daily basis. Soooo ... if you checked in here whenever you had the opportunity I think you'd find this is a much more knowledgeable group because most anything you can find in any magazine can be found here, and more. And I would also include field tests on new detectors ... the magazines might come out with test results sooner, but how does that new detector model actually interact with the everyday user, ya know?

there are some extremely high tech members here, but they can tell you how a new detector functions more easily than the magazines. I'm not discouraging you from subscribing by any means .. but couple the mag subscription with a daily visit to this forum will make the world of difference.

Good luck, and HH!
