Default What is considered clad?

I see people post this in their signature. And I want to start a running total one mine.
Yes I know it is coins, but is it just all coins in general or ones beyond a certain year that don't have as much value as older ones? Wanna list it right.

So meaning like solid silver or gold? Aren't there some modern coins that have silver in them? Maybe not?
