Default "Sniper" coils versus "Rock your baby"

Hi everybody !

Please take a look at the Relic Hunting Around Trees article at the following link, and let me know why using a standard coil and this technique wouldn't work as well as one of the small diameter "sniper" coils for searching in close to tree trunks, corners and tight spots where the standard coil signals couldn't reach when scanning level to the ground.

Thanks to all who reply !

I believe the smaller coil allows you first to get in between the roots and second when you rock it you're putting your directing the signal more under the roots.

Hi Terry !

Thanks for your opinions on that.

Did you enjoy the mood music on brokendetector ? (Rhetorical question)

Yeah, I know what you mean. One of the songs, can't remember exactly which, was distracting.
I had difficulty concentrating while reading that page and had to turn my speaker volume off.
