Default Perfume Bottle Topper?

Thats my best guess so far as to what this thingy is. It says Vogue on the part you would grab. On the top of the rim it says "Vogue Perfy Co. N.Y." and on the bottom of the rim "Wirz Inc. Chesters PA"

The piece comes from a park along the Ohio River built in 1913. The material feels like lead, kinda flimsy. I have found that Wirz was one of the first companies to start making collapsable toothpaste tubes. Thats about as much info as I can find.

Thanks for the help!

James

dont believe the perfume bottle stopper idea. Looks like base metal or copper which would be too cheap and perhaps reactive with the chemicals in perfume.

Looks like the vogue font... Google vogue perfume and I found similar writing - not sure how old the co. Is but worth checking out. Could be worth something
