We got our T2 via UPS today, and took it out in the backyard to play around with, and actually found our first wheatie in the yard.
![]() I was also using the Garrett Propointer I just bought. Well the propointer made the T2 chatter when I turned it on to find the target. Pretty annoying. I eventually wound up getting the Whites Bullseye out to use, and it didn't interfere with th T2 at all. So I'm wondering what could cause the Propointer to interfere with the T2 and if anyone else has had this issue with the Propointer. __________________ |

Yep it does the same thing to mine, I have to turn the machine on its side with the coil facing away from the hole & even then if the machine is to close it will still make sounds when I move the pointer around in the hole... I wonder if changing frequencies on the detector would help..

My Vibra probe does the same thing to my XLT... so I usually leave the machine a few feet away and the coil facing away. Each time the pinpointer pulses the machine used to go off.

Carol if the T2 is like the F75 you should be able to change the operating frequencies,on high sensitivity settings, electrical wires, electrical interference,on my F75se this is how it is done,Hold the menu button down ,push the trigger forward ,or pull the trigger back to change the frequency,i do this around power lines, you will find a setting with the least interference,i also have found out when you get your pointer out,you must put your machine a little further to the side, when you dig, away from the pointer, holster it till your ready to use it,our machines are very sensitive, hope this helps you, just got the big daddy white 15dd coil today,it's a monster, new depths,i think you can get it for the T2 also, hope Vlad & you are doing well,Happy hunting Earl

Yes, my Propointer interferes with my M6 whenever in use, I'm blaming matching frequencies... but should we look into detectors that have alpha-numeric titles?... T2... M6... there's a connection
It's annoying but I still find my stuff so I live with it. Would you rather listen to a crying baby?.......? OK then.

I had a brand new vibraprobe that I just loved. The darn thing made my Sovereign scream every time I turned it on. My buddy and I can't get our Sovereigns within 25 feet of each other at the beach. EMI is a real problem some of the places I hunt. I just make the best of it and recognize it for what it is. And I also bought another detector The AT Pro to help with the problem.

Carol, Earl is right - frequency shift should correct this. I used to have to do the same to my F75. Here are the T2 instructions...
FREQUENCY SHIFTING One disadvantage of a highly sensitive metal detector is its susceptibility to electrical interference from other electronic devices. If the detector chatters while the searchcoil is not in motion, the cause is either electrical interference or internal circuit noise due to a high sensitivity setting. If the detector chatters or emits intermittent false signals in the field, you arealso probably experiencing electrical interference. If you suspect electrical interference, you may change the T2’s operating frequency. This is a trial and error method to try to find a frequency different from the suspected source. To shift frequencies: 1. Hold the MENU button down. Do not release the button. 2. Push the trigger forward to increase the frequency Or pull the trigger back to decrease the frequency. Each frequency change requires a push of the MENU button. Each actuation will shift the frequency by one value. The LCD will display the frequency, from F1 to F7. The default frequency is F4. The T2 will default back to F4 when the power is switched off. Hope this helps! -George __________________ |

Just ordered my Pro Pointer. I have a DX-1 for my MXT, but wanted something else to go with my F4 and Silver Umax. I have sold my Vibra-Probe 580 to a buddy(way too chatty with my MXT). Still have my Bullseye II, but really don't like it. Hope the MXT and Pro Pointer get along when I test it out.

Is this why my pro pointer goes crazy? I love my new GPP, but it seems to want to keep beeping when I take it out of the hole, driving me crazy. I don't really carry a ton of gear with me. Not enough to warrant the GPP to continously beep beep beep on it's own when I use it. I will run through some proximity tests today to see if my ATpro is talking to my GPP.
I thought it was a low battrey issue, changed the 9V out and still going crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I always hunt in Relic as well. I always am in the + too. We will see how it goes. Should be here tomorrow. __________________ |
