Default My thoughts about burying a silver Hoard...

After reading all the replies about whether or not to bury a hoard of silver in the back yard here is what I have come to the think should be done. Buy a small fire safe and hide it in the attic. In the fire safe place a key to the safe deposit box that you will rent. In the safe deposit box place the map to the spot where you used a rented backhoe to bury the huge gun safe that you will buy in the back yard. In the gun safe you put the $.43 that you have left from the $2200 Worth of silver that you cashed in to spend on safes and safedeposit box fees and excavating a hole deep enough for a huge safe.
This method would be the best for the economy of this country and for your peace of mind since now you don't have to worry about the silver anymore. Burying the silver does nothing for the economy or yourself........

Yep, the whole point of burying it shouldn't cost me anything but some sweat.

I still think that a 3or 4 hundred dollar safe would be best but hey if you want to bury it give me a call I have a shovel and will help you dig the hole

I like the idea of the attic. Just find a special spot, lift up the insulation and your done. Leave a note somewhere hidden for your loved ones to find in case something happens to you, (like being kidnapped for a ransom of $2000 in silver!). Kidding aside, I've always stashed cash behind electrical outlets, above rafters, pockets of old shirts, etc..
