Default Eagle and Arrow Something

Good afternoon everyone.

Although I have only been out MD'ing less than 10 hrs in the last year, I have been getting my "fix" through all of you here - so thanks!

My son and I finally got out for a few hours today. We have access to an old stagecoach town that is now just corn/bean fields. We can only get in before/after the crops.

In the past, our best finds included some blacksmithing items and a mid-1800's button.

We found this item today and I thought it was junk. During the "clean before toss" stage, I noticed a pattern. I am kind of excited because I thought I read on here that an eagle facing left was a possible sign of an earlier object.

Anyway, enough blabbing. I need some help and you pros here seem to know your stuff! Thanks in advance.

Steve and Kyle

Thanks! That looks like a very close match, but mine is in very rough shape. I would be very happy just to finally say I found some sort of CW relic - even if it is banged up as bad as it is.

Congrats on your find! I think it's great and is a super entry into your MD log, despite its condition. The fact that you were able to get an ID on it makes it very worthwhile!

I think it is an exact match and if it is that makes it a CW buckle

Nice find. How are things up in Lena, not been up there in years. Use to fish in the lake there now and then. I'm not too far south of you in Dixon.

I have searched CW plates and there seems to be several varieties. I am confident enough though that I upated by sig!

I have definately had better luck dirt fishing than water fishing at Le-Aqua-Na. I must not know the secret spots!

We head to Dixon for their youth wrestling tourney. Always in the winter though.

I've never had much luck there either but heard that the state has been stocking it with trout, among other fish, and the fishing has improved.

Years ago my daughter participated in that tourney and did pretty well, third in her weight class. No, she's not built like a wrestler (prom queen her senior year) just loves sports and very athletic. Wrestling is popular here and one of our more successful sports. Lots of state wrestling champs.
