Default this weeks finds

sorry, don't have a picture with me here at work, but i will get it posted with the thread first thing monday morning.

this past weekend i went back on our farm where i found the colt revolver, wasn't a bad weekend.

found 23 civil war bullets ranging from 3 ringers to 36 caliber revolvers

1- brass 36 caliber colt bullet mold
1-steel 36 caliber bullet mold

part of a smooth bore musket ramrod, has the brass end on it

another brass sword belt hanger

and so many square nails it would blow your mind!

i have a question for you guys, i'm not finding any buttons. i know i have a cheap metal detector, ( bounty hunter sharp shooter ) yet with everything else i've found, it looks like i could come across a button. any ideas as to why?

I've been hunting a virgin CW site and have stumbled upon 50+ bullets, a couple of old buckles and an 1848 half, but have not hit a CW button yet. Just keep digging. If one is there your BH can find it.

makes me feel better that i'm not the only one.

please don't think i'm complaining, i'd way rather have the colt revolver i found than any button. yet it would be nice to find one. with as much stuff as i've found there i'm pretty sure there will be a button somewhere, the area is so large that it is honestly hard to cover everything in a day or two.

i have a cousin that owns the farm across the road from ours where i'm finding all this, his farm lays between ours and the river, probally 300 yards of woods that he has between us and the river. thinking of going and seeing if he'll let me look there, who knows what could be around the closer to the river i get.
