I like searching those old home sites when the house is still standing as that one is... good luck on your search... hopefully there is a cache waiting on you there..

wow, that one looks haunted for sure!!!
neet old place! watch out for weak floors, crumbling ceilings, the well and of course, the resident ghost.

I agree this looks like it has great potential. As mentioned be aware of the floors if you go inside.

Enjoy and be sure to keep us posted on the goodies

In my limited experience.....most of my finds at old homesites (farms mostly) are between the door of the house and the parking area. i.e. People walking from car (horse carrige) to front door and reaching in pocket for keys and out come the coins...etc....

Always search all areas of course...but I would start there

Good advice about the areas where they would reach into pockets for something and the coins fall out.

Any luck yet?

Went and hit this spot for about an hour on Saturday. Lots of nails. found an earring with spain engraved inside. Think it's junk though. I'll be hitting this spot over a long period of time. It's about 1 hour drive away.
