Default Electrolysis help

i am trying electrolysis for the first time, and the penny is fizzing and bubbling, but there isnt any cloud of muck in the glass... help?

Are you sure the penny is sizzling or is the clip holding the penny sizzling? sometime it just takes a while...

I've only used electrolysis once on a silver dime. I'm not sure how the reaction would be with copper but it took over an hour to clean it up. Give it some time.
