Got up at O'darkthirty to go hunt Pompano Joe's in Destin today and dug a LOT of trash since I had decided to dig everything this first time there. I did find the items in the picture in 5 different locations...
On a side note, what a bunch of PIGS these spring breakers are! There were buried beer cans and bottles, pop tops, foil, and some other disgusting discarded items just lying on the sand. I even found one spot where there was at least 14 beer cans crushed and buried in about 8 inches of sand. They were only about 20 yards from a trash can, wouldn't it have been simpler to go to the can than to dig that large and deep of a hole and re-bury it??? Yep, I did dig them and take them to the trash can. The guy from the county who comes around in the mornings to clean up the beach saw me doing this and thanked me and I explained that true MD'ists ALWAYS take out the trash they dig up.Also, the 250 performed perfectly on the dry sand, but I had to fiddle with it to get good readings in the really wet sand by the tide line. __________________ |

Cool finds there mike and good job putting away the trash.
Here's a tip for all... if your going beach huntlng and start a grid? you can't be to far from starting point. before hunt I pick up a stick or visible marker. I throw the cans, bottles, in that direction of marker. and move it accordingly. As I go. I have found a numerous can holes from numerous ....neglects. my pouch can't hold that many cans....good work...HH.... Ohh those can holes hold a 12PACK.....PARTY ON...AHOLES... __________________ |

Good day out..and yes the pigs are back at the beach..after a big party or event you almost have to leap over the cans...another trick for griding out is to drag you scoop behind you..leaves a trail and you can see where you have searched..Rock on Spring Breakers.....Buster.....

Yeah, for the most part they are, the ladder is missing from the fire truck and one side handlebar is broken off of the motorcycle. Makes you wonder what these kids were thinking, and they were far enough apart that I doubt it was one kid, burying them so deep. I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed at the amount of trash on the beach that morning, both surface and sub-surface trash. And they have one poor guy that has to drive the beach picking it up. I had a nice chat with him though, and he genuinely appreciated learning MD'ists clean up trash and don't just leave it behind so it made me feel good doing it.
