Default My first pocket spill...

Went to a different area of the RV Park today, a big field where the overflow parking for towed vehicles (TOADS in RV lingo) is. Found my first pocket spill - 3 quarters and 2 pennies at about 4 inches. Haven't gotten them cleaned up yet but they all appear to be modern coins, nothing spectacular. But I have met 3 other people who MD by just getting out with mine and walking the RV Park! I also had the chance to introduce a few folks to MD'ing and even had one ask where to buy a detector. And as a side benefit, I am learning more and more about my MD and how to understand what it's saying. I work in a modified coins mode, notched out the nickel due to all the canslaw here, but I still dig most all hits. I try to guess trash/treasure before digging though based on what I am hearing and seeing on my MD. That pocket spill sure threw me a curve though. One of the quarters was edge up and I had to walk away and come back later to find it. After getting the other 2 quarters and 2 pennies I kept getting a ghost signal but couldn't find it. I came back from a different angle and got a better signal, used my HF PP to spot it and got it just below the surface.

All in all a good day.

Thanks man! I hear you about the R&B, can't wait for that milestone... I am just chompin' at the bit to get to the beach, especially now with the Spring Breakers here. All I'm waiting on is my shipment from Colonial with my 2 scoop deal.

I'm glad... I'm likin' that PREDATOR! The first day out with it I was cussin' it for being so clumsy (I was used to that wimpy - but still mighty good for the money -Fiskars tool) but after taking the PREDATOR out today and using it, it has become an extension of my left hand.

HHBAY!

Mike
