Default New from Western NY

Hello All --

I've been lurking around the edges for a bit & finally decided to bite & pick up a detector. I haven't handled one since I played with my Dad's old White years & years ago. But living here in this old house that was once a parsonage next to the local church which was demolished in the 40's got me think'n... ;-)

I'm also hoping one or both of the kids will be interested & we can make a bit of a family thing out of this. We already hunt arrowheads, coins on the surface, & minerals/fossils when the opportunity presents -- may as well go a bit deeper.

BTW -- I participate on other forums & venues for business (I'm in the colored gemstone trade), and I have to say this forum is quite impressive compared to many. You guys have international participation & you seem to live up to your name: friendly! Well done, I'm happy to be here.

regards,

peter
