Default Where do I start?

It has been a LOOONNGGG winter here in MA and I have been doing a ton of research. I have logged many days behind the computer or in the library. Heading into the winter I only had a handful of sites I was thinking about checking but after spending hours upon hours researching this winter I now have such a long list of sites I don't know where to start.

How do all of you MD veterans out there begin a new season with a long list of sites to hunt? Should I start with the oldest site? Most potential to have competition?
Thanks for the help!

Actually, that is a good problem to have. If it were me, I would choose the site most likely to have not been searched, or minimally searched. I like finding spots that have been forgotten. There is a hill that used to be used for sledding.. it was pasture at the time. Having returned to this area after 40+ years absence, I see it is now a young forest... I know there are lots of coins there...So, it is your choice, but the old forgotten places will be the most interesting.... usually. HH RickO

That is good advice RickO....find the places that are NOT real easy to get to, that have some age/history to them and start there. All the easy places to get to have been hit (not saying you won't find keepers there) so use your research to your benefit and find some good ole good ones. Then post pictures of your finds here. Yeah, I tend to run away from the MD crowd here (there really isn't one) and go out to the trails the Spanish explorers used hundreds of years ago. The Indians here showed them where they could find some gold, and in the process the soldiers shed a lot of heavy materials. I've found two really old Spanish coins on my property just in the last year. This is an area rich in history, but in a different time frame from many parts of the country.....
