Returned Automax V4 for DetectorPro Pistol Probe

I had ordered an Automax C4 from Kellyco, Hey $25.00 ain't bad, but the unit was a total bust. Barely read a quarter from 1" away. I was a NOOB and didn't know any better. After reading and watching Youtube videos I am convinced that the DetectorPro Pistol Probe is the way to go. Anyone have one, if so how good does it work for you?

I prefered the Garrett Pro Pointer myself. Tried them both but I liked the way the Pro-Pointer would beap-vibrate faster the closer you got to an object. I have never dinged anything since I switched to it.

Here's a thread about the Pistol Probe Vs. the Pro Pointer. Here was my post:

"I have tried both and I prefer the pro pointer for several reasons:

- Pro Pointer you just hit one button and go. The Pistol Probe has several dials to adjust settings and unless you want it on ALL the time you need to hold down a button while you use it.

- Pro Pointer has a nice little LED light which I like.

- Pro Pointer is much smaller. The Pistol Probe is very large and bulky.

- The Pro Pointer vibrates harder the closer you get to the object and also beeps faster. It really helps me know exactly how close I am to an object so I do not damage it.

- The Pro Pointer is about 50 bucks cheaper!"

Pro pointer for me hands down any day,
It has saved me so much time in the field and i would buy another if i could use two at the same time lol.
