Whites Classic III Modifications GB and Threshold

I have been researching about doing the External Modification for Ground Balance and Threshold on my Classic III. Dosen't seem to be that hard other than getting the blue chips (lack of knoledge) off of the board inside and then connecting the new wires to the board. I really want to sent it off to that mystery buy Mr. Bill and have him do it, but he, from what I can tell dosen't do it anymore. I have a schematic of the board inside the detector but I can't tell whats anything is. I have seen pictures of the modification and can locate the pieces that are being modified. But before i screw up my favorite trashy area detector I want to learn more about it, and if anyone knows how to do this.

Nevermind, I found Bill on the web. Its Surfscanner Detectors in MA. I just called him and found that the external ground balance and threshold will be done along with the signal boost for the discriminate mode will be added. SWEET! $85 and $20 for shipping back to me is a deal. That way I can keep some of my hair that I would have pulled out when I jacked up the detector trying it myself.
