I just read that If you have a bigger coil for the 250 you will find less. If so then what is the point?

bigger coils will generally go deeper and will cover more ground, downfall is they don't seperate close targets well and weight a ton after swingin it all day

Guilty....Guilty....Guilty as charged! Among the others I felt compelled to buy for my Safari, I also have a 12" x 15" SEF butterfly style and before that an 18" coil that's round and 3" bigger (all the way around) than the steering whell on my one ton Ford.
The up side is way more depth and I can hunt a small County with about two sweeps. The downside is as mentioned; more trash under an 18" circumference, harder to pin point targets and while I refuse to give in, blown out tendons, shoulder and lower back. Looks cool hanging on the wall though, kind of a chick magnet (yeah, right!) __________________ Treasurebum/US ARMY RET & Minelab Fanatic "The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the cheap price is forgotten"
