The Excal is one heck of a machine great find.Let minelab know of your success. I did and they sent a nice hat and digging tool blade on one side and saw on the other it's pretty cool.

James what a ring is appraised for is most likely not what you will get for it... appraisals tend to be higher than what a person actually can get for a ring...

a friend of mine had a ring appraised for several thousand but couldn't get more than $1300 for it...

As I usually say a item is only worth what you actually get for it...


If I were you... I would go back to that same spot and grid it back and forth until you no longer got any signals... those (greenie) coins tell alot about that area.. no one else hunted it or hunted it very hard.. this past summer I found a spot like that and it held 9 gold rings... we worked it for a few days..

JB ya better hide that one from the wife ,nice find ,i have a strait shaft and knob guard for your excal 2 if your interested pm me,it looks like the real deal,did you put the diamond tester on it ? could be a Cz,i had a couple last year that were CZS 1 was a 1ct single stone CZ,Earl

haha, I might be interested in the shaft and knobs if the price is right
And yes the Diamonds are real, I have a Diamond tester and a gold/silver Acid test kit. Both tested positive for 14kt and Diamonds.

WOW ! Makes me wonder how it was lost ! My friend is a attorney and he says you would be surprised how many people toss there wedding rings in the ocean, Many more where that came from !! Yeah ! Congrats !!!
