Default Greetings from the Eastern Shore of Virginia

Hi everyone, just got back into metal detecting after about 5 years. I figured I would browse these forums to pick up some tips from the pros. Any help regarding detector use would be very useful! Thanks.

Hello and welcome back! Id love to be living in Virginia and detecting! All those Civil War relics! Like I tell alot of people, check out the Tesoro Vaquero. Great all around detector. Especially if your a relic hunter like myself. Light, strong, and just finds everything! Can find them new $420 with lifetime warranty. It is my go to detector out of my three. Has ground balance, which from what I have heard about Virginia soil you will need. Good luck and look foward to seeing some of your finds.

Yeah I guess I'm more a relic hunter than anything else. I'm currently using a Pioneer 202(Quickdraw II now?). Ive read people rave about how Virginia is a great location for MDing civil war era relics. Unfortunately where I live saw no action, other than being occupied by Union soldiers the entire war. What it lacks in battlefields though, it makes up in colonial sites dating back to the 1630s. Just the other weekend I found a George the Second Half pence thats at least 255 years old!
