I will stay out of the water, but will the 1350 weather a beach ok? Dry and wet sand?
Thanks! First time to the beach metal detecting soon and want to make sure I do ok. Can't wait until my AT PRO comes in and I will hit the shallow water with that! Cheers, Spencer |

If your going salt water be prepared for alot of false dollar and half dollar signals other than that you won't have any problems. For whatever reason the gtp valses alot on those signals at salt water beaches

Those false dollar and half dollar signals are hot rocks and can be dealt with via ground balance and lowering the sensitivity level.

I have the Garrett GTI 1500 and I use it on the beach several times a week...both in wet and dry sand. I love this machine....tough I have never tried any other machine. Dry sand....no problem at all.
Wet Sand: I work in the Jewelry Mode, Switch the Salt Elimination on and maybe the Sensitivity down a few clicks if you are getting a lot of false beeps in the $1 range. |
