newbie newbie, hello. is the fisher pulse 8 the best or the minlab 1000 ? thanks for your help

You can't go wrong with the Excal. The Fisher is more of a dive detector as previously stated here on the forums. 8)

well i sold the fisher and keeped the minlab 1000 to be the minlab is the way to go ,but the fisher is built like a tank.

well for the servicabality of diving i was just wondering how it would function if the shrink wrap seal ever where accidently torn or became dryrottet if any ol shrink wrap could be reheated in its place by a novice?theay sell large diamater shrink wrap at west marine.

i looked on fishers website and saw theay sell alot of accories for their detectors for shure tho most of the stuff was quite expensive for my small budget.

also the looks of the fisher looks much like old teck. theay used in the 70,s where your main box is square and 70ish appearance the minelab looks like a buck rodgers detector(i think)

i noticed in their liturture that theay also claim its good for dry beaches but never seem to hear any 1n boast about this featuer?any 1n have any seceuss in finding much on the land with a fisher pulse 8 which is their premere detector?

I've had the CZ20 for 3 years. Built like a tank for sure. Mine came with a lifetime warranty (although they don't make them anymore). It is heavy but easily hip mounted. I also have an Explorer II. The CZ is a very good machine but you can't compare it to the Exp. Most people on the beach swing excals.
