This Lowell Park looks great. I have been researching it and it says it is on the river but on the map it shows it north of Dixon away from the Rock River. Is there another river in Dixon?

I hate to make it more complicated now that we have a date and a location for a group hunt set, but, I thought we should have a rain date. So, if the weather is bad how about Saturday June 18th 9:00 AM, or earlier if you want.

In fact, for the guys who cannot make it Sunday the 5th we could have a second hunt on the 18th if anyone is interested. Let me know.

I thought that those coming to the hunt next weekend might find this interesting. Today, Kevin, another local MD’er, and I went to the park to scout out a few locations for everyone. We didn’t spend a lot of time but Kevin managed to pull 2 wheat pennies and a beautiful 1937 Mercury Dime. So, I’m optimistic for next Sunday.

June 5th 9:00 AM, and I thought we could meet at the park, at the old bathhouse. It's easy to find, just follow the center road all the way to the bottom of the hill. Can't miss it.

Hey Mike, I am wondering if it would not be better for you to have hunters meet at the front gate rather than at the bathouse? It might create less confusion for those that have never been there. Just a thought.

Not sure if I will have my equipment by then. But I would like to join you guys for your meeting. Since I live right next to Lowell park it would be convenient for me. There is another park close by with an old homestead located inside. Not much left but the masonary for the fireplace. Must walk to this location, easy trail.

Hey live just outside of dixion fill me in on what's going on

Just wanted to let everyone know that the hunt is still on. Let’s all meet in the pine grove just inside the gate and to the right at 9:00 AM. Just enter the park and take the first road to the right and you should see us there. Other than the hunt I have not planned anything else but perhaps we could all get together for some lunch or, if everyone is 21 or older, an adult beverage. See you all Sunday, be careful on the drive down and PM me with any questions.
