Default whites classic iii with blue max 950 coil

How are these detectors? Thinking of getting into this and there is one on local craigslist i am looking at. Thanks

Welcome from Mesquite,Texas.......I've used one before and it's a good detector to get started with........Just don't pay too much for it...

That was my first detector. It worked well. I used to clean up on clad in the tot lots and school yards.

They are good detectors, it's probably early to mid 90's era if its a SL model. I used a Classic ID which is basically the same thing with a simple LCD meter and found a ton of stuff.
