Default Ace 250 or Ace 350?

I am looking to get started in this hobby and have poured over the forum and have found some great advice. I haven't seen alot on the 350 and have seen rave reviews on the 250. I was just wondering what the differences are? Is the 350 worth the extra money? For about the same money i can get a 350 with some cool accessories or i can get a 250 with a Garrett pro pointer. Which path to chose????

I think it comes with a better coil, better disc, and higher frequency. From what I have read it goes deeper too. I have used both the 150 and 250 but if I had the money I would go with the 350. I would rather have a better detector with no accessories than a cheaper model with more accessories. You can always get a pinpointer later but it cost a lot more to upgrade a detector. I never use pinpointers anyway.

A better coil (bonus), a higher frequency might target in on gold better(bonus), better discrimination (negligeable). I spend over 3 hours today testing a suggestion FL posted on another thread to me. You really want to detect in AM mode to catch all of the good targets. There was an adjustment curve but after I got it I was getting coin spills and good targets left and right. As soon as I get a good camera I will start with pics. Discrimination and notching can reduce sensativity to the good targets too.

The 350 is great especially with the Double D coil....A few dealers have the Fall special with Propointer....
