Default My new camera...

So I spent my Christmas bonus money and got a new camera...
Panasonic ZS6.

$219 on sale at Costco.

Real cold around here lately and I haven't really got down to getting good with it yet, but I did manage to take a couple pictures yesterday.

Gonna try to make a couple of HD movies...when it gets a little warmer!

I think I am going to enjoy this!

Let's try a movie...

Converted to AVI..hosted by Photobucket...not as sharp as the original, but I will experiment and get it right....

All right...not working the way I want.

Anybody please tell me how to embed a video here?

Or, I can figure it out when I have time after work.

Thanks.

Nice images! The images are sharp and the color seems to be very accurate.

The pics came out great! Does the new camera have a nice macro setting?

That copper thing was not with macro...These are.

When you live in an area with lots of pine trees, this is what happens to zinc pennies.....

None of them were "fixed", sharpened or altered, except reduced in size.

Still got to work on the lighting...

That last pic is great. If I get the idea that I need a new camera I believe I will be looking into this one.

Nice pictures. I really like my new Fujifilm FinePix s1800 so far. I got it for $160. It was actually $140 but I paid $20 shipping to get it 2nd day. It does pretty good using only florescent light which gave my old camera a hard time. Here is a picture using the macro mode.

Here is a link to the same picture before resizing. http://www.detectorplace.com/detecting/44half.jpg

(BIG fan of Ansel Adams!).

I am looking forward to taking some really good pics to go with my finds during my hunts.

This camera also limits HD video to about 8 minutes, but that should be enough to try to post a few videos, and especially the one where I come across that cache I know I am destined to find!

Thanks for the positive comments!
