Default Unidentified medal

Also found this,not sure what it is but it has some writing on the back.It says,SR JOHN JERVIS WITH 16 SAIL...then i cant make out the rest until at the bottom of it..It says,FEBUARY 14 1797.Will let you know when i have an ID

Ok,its a half penny token commerating John jervis of Portsmouth,whoever he was.If you Google John Jervis you can read about him and see what he looks like,,this internet blows my mind all the time.Just an hour ago this coin was buried under the ground for the last 200 years,now its on the net being looked at by people in the USA,thats mindblowing stuff.

Good one. You're right about the internet I wouldn't have a clue to a lot of my finds.

USA, Finland< France, Australia it is Worldwide, hence the WWW which stands for Worldwide Net. Cool isn't it? Nice coin/medal. I love information, satisfies the curiosity in me.
