Default Hello y'all

Today I took the plunge to bid on my first metal detector on eBay. I have dreamed of hunting for years. Now I have the time to try it.
The first use will be for something I doubt anyone has tried. My husband is a terror on the riding lawn mower. We have plenty of high grass. I plan to use the detector to find anything he would blindly mow over. I am tired of taking that mower in for a repair.
Then I want to find some tools that same hubby plus neighbor kids have dropped. I never dropped any... lol
Maybe next year I will have these projects completed so I can search like you all do. We have 11.5 acres just north of Pascagoula, MS. Did Katrina drop any presents here? What finds are waiting where one home burned here? When the neighbors see me, I wonder if they will ask me to check out their property..
Meanwhile I'll lurk and learn.
Lula

Hey Lula...Welcome!

What detector are you bidding on for your first?
Some of us here have our favorites, but there is usually only a few that most will agree will work well for a newbie and won't frustrate you while learning.

HH
